Situated in the heart of the oldest part of the village of Old St. Mellons, just off the Newport Road and almost hidden from view, is the lively hub that is the Old St. Mellons Village Hall.
The current Hall was officially opened in September 1984. The building comprises a main hall with a large kitchen and toilets off the entrance foyer. It also has a large stage area. There is disabled access and a disabled toilet. The Village Hall is owned and managed by the Old St. Mellons Community Council on behalf of Old St. Mellons residents. There is a Village Hall Working Party charged with overseeing the running of the Hall and reporting back to full Council at the monthly Community Council meetings held the second Thursday of every month, except August.
The Main Hall can be hired for £10 per hour for residents and £15 per hour for non-residents, an additional one-off Caretaker's fee is £20. A bond of £100 is also required. The Main Hall holds 150 guests. This is a super venue great for art and dance classes and has been very popular for children's birthday parties.
Please note: no bouncy castles or water games allowed.
There is a small car park to the rear of the Village Hall which can be accessed via Elgar Crescent - CF3 5RU
