COST OF LIVING SUPPORT
The Welfare Liaison Team is a service available to Cardiff Council Contract Holders, offering impartial assistance with paying rent or Council Tax arrears. We work closely with teams such as Rents, Tenancy, and Independent Living Services.
We can help households access information on maximising income, benefit checks, budgeting support, grants, and more.
In 2022/2023, we helped over 4,800 Contract Holders with money-related matters, such as:
- Benefit applications
- Affordable rent arrear arrangements
- Budgeting help
- Essential furniture & white goods
- Referrals to helpful organisations
- Food and fuel help
- Government grants
- Access to the right council services
